We’re delighted to share the successful outcome of our recent consultation meeting held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Kratie Provincial Hall. The meeting was organized by CIPO CLEC MVi and Mondulkiri Kratie Provincial Administration, under the financial support of the REDD+ project through WCS.
The meeting focused on the possibility of support in principle of the Kratie Provincial Administration on Land Registration Proposals for the Pnong Indigenous Community of Sre Andol Village, located in Khsem Commune, Snoul District, Kratie Province.
We had a total of 30 participants, including 3 women, who contributed to the successful achievement of the meeting’s objectives. The purpose was to propose a consensus on the request for registration of collective land in the Sre Andol village community, which is located in Cheng village, Khsum commune, Srul Snoul district, Kratie province.
We’re thrilled to announce that as a result of the meeting, the parties of Kratie and Mondulkiri provinces agreed on the request for land registration in Kratie province to the indigenous community of the Sre Andol village. The land registration application documents have been provided to Khsem commune chief, Snoul district, Kratie province.
This marks a significant step in our ongoing efforts to uphold the land rights of indigenous communities. A big thank you to everyone involved in this initiative!
