On April 25, 2023, the Community Legal Education Center convened a consultative workshop in collaboration with various partner organizations. The focus was a draft guidebook on digital rights and internet freedom, a beacon for civil society in Cambodia.
The workshop had two primary objectives. The first was to raise awareness about the general context, legal aspects, ethics, and security of exercising freedom in the Internet age within Cambodia. The second was to review and develop the guidebook, a crucial resource for navigating the digital landscape.
As the workshop unfolded, participants shared their experiences, providing invaluable inputs to enhance the guidebook. The atmosphere was one of collaboration and mutual respect, a testament to the commitment of all those involved.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the partner organizations for their active participation and contributions to the draft guidebook on Digital Rights and Internet Freedom. Special thanks to Mr. Nop Vy, Mr. Duch Piseth, Dr. Pa Chanroeun, and Ms. Tan Theary for sharing their experiences with all participants, and to the YRDP team for their help in capturing these moments through their lens. This event marked a significant step towards shaping the future of digital rights in Cambodia.
